THE LEGEND
Six silhouettes.
One long sunset.
Sunset Unlimited is a cross-media storytelling project built around music, film and narrative. Themes of ambition, authority, betrayal, consequence and the uneasy distance between myth and truth run through its songs and films.
Formed in 2007 as an acoustic duet drawing from folk, rock and bluegrass, the project soon turned toward the widescreen drama of 1960s and ’70s Italian western scores. As the music expanded—tremolo guitars, surf-rock textures, whistling, strings, horns and layered arrangements—so did the scope. By 2008 Sunset Unlimited had become a full rock band, and by 2009 writing, film and video had become part of the work itself: music not merely accompanying the story, but becoming one of the ways the story is told.
